Unit 5 - We Are Inventors and Innovators

In this unit, students think like inventors. They notice problems in their classroom, school, and community, and explore what inventors do and how they think before choosing a problem they care about.

As students work toward the culminating performance task, they develop an invention idea, create a plan for how it will work, and build and test it, making changes when something does not work as expected. Students complete an Invention Book and share how their invention helps solve a real problem.
